Isn't it supposed to be the custom that holidays are what we look forward to, and not what we cannot wait to be done with?

The only reason I don't look forward to the end of it is knowing we'll be thrown back into squalor the moment we step back onto the train.

It would be rather unfortunate if some of them missed the train...

I feel sorry for people like you. Nothing is ever good enough. How will you ever be happy?

Oh I'm happier than you'll ever dream of being.

Having things in my life that irritate me will not take away from that.

Well unless you can somehow measure the happiness of others, then I seriously doubt you know how happy I am.

I don't need to know your happiness to know that it's impossible for it to come near to my own.

What you're telling me is that there is no way I can ever be as happy as you? And what I'm saying is you could never know how happy I am.

How can you compare happiness?

I'm telling you that your petty happiness has no possibilty of comparing. I do not care what scale you might use to judge your own, nor do I care how you feel about your own happiness or how wondrous you might think it is.

I know how I feel, and that's quite enough. I am certain that yours pales in comparison.

And in case you haven't figured it this out yet - I can do anything I want.

You can do anything you want?

Can you...walk on water?

I didn't say I could do anything you wanted.

Personally, I'd rather swim in water than walk on it.

I just figured that by saying you could do anything you wanted, you meant that you could do anything.

I never said I wanted to walk on water anyways.

I'm also partial to swimming, but I don't want you to think we have anything in common so I won't say that...

That's not at all what I stated. And I didn't say that you wanted to walk on it either.

I was clarifying that my efforts were related to what I wanted to do, not what you would want me to do.

Good of you not to mention it. Wouldn't want any attempt at bonding or else it might turn nasty.

Fair enough. I misunderstood.

I just don't understand how you can call Hogwarts squalor.

It's not the castle itself.

It's the people inside it who make it feel that way.

Then why come back?

Because of the education, naturally.

Some of the classes and the Professors are worth putting up with the rest.

There are other places to learn...

And I'm sure there are other Professors at those other places.

None that have the reputation of Hogwarts, and the others have filth in them just the same.

Besides, my Father graduated from the school, and it has certainly served him well enough.
