The Perils of Glasses

Jan 10, 2012 23:10

Things I learned today:
-Walgreens manufacturers are dumb. Case in point: they wrapped scotch tape around the soft cleaning cloth in their eyeglass lens cleaning kit. Seriously, Walgreens?
-How to remove scotch tape residue from eyeglass lenses (polycarbonate lenses, that is). Soak glasses (plastic frames) in warm soapy water (mild soap) for about half an hour; rinse; soak a cotton ball in rubbing alcohol; dab and gently rub cotton ball on the scotch tape residue, also consider rubbing with fingers; repeat if necessary; dry with a soft cleaning cloth (not covered in tape residue!!); voilà, no more tape residue on your lenses.
-I have to buy a new eyeglass lens cleaning kit. Not from Walgreens. Also, not wrapped in scotch tape. The upside is that I don't think my glasses have ever been this clean.

I've been meaning to put together a list of goals, like delicatale and webbgirl, but I haven't quite gotten around to it. I should. I'll try to do it tomorrow, if I have time at work.
