In avoidance of work

Found this on a random blog,... here we go!

You're stuck inside Fahrenheit 451, which book do you want to be (For those who haven't read Bradbury's book--in the novel all books have been destroyed. To insure that these valuable resources survive, members of an underground all "become" books. That is, they memorize them and can recite them to others. Living texts.)?
That's tough. I'm inclined to say "The Catcher in the Rye" but what kind of value is that? "Romeo and Juliet"...it's got the wit, the poetry, and a nice lesson for all those lovebirds who get too caught up in things (no faking your death!)

Have you ever had a crush on a fictional character?
Oddly enough, no. I have lots of author crushes, which i suppose is creepy enough in itself.

The last book you bought is:
Besides a nice moleskin journal, I believe the last book i bought was Katherine Graham's Biography at the B&N in Kalamazoo. Good stuff so far too. I admit, I'm a bit of a Watergate fan (well of the reporting, not the actual event) so the biographies of the major players are fascinating.

The last book you read:
I've been reading a bunch of them piecemeal. The last one I finished was "Too Brief a Treat: The Letters of Truman Capote," sent to me by the lovely Chuck Stone for which i am incredibly grateful! Just in time for the Capote movie too!

What are you currently reading?
A whole bunch! Graham's biography, as stated above. "The Brothers Karamazov" (still, i know), Milton's "Paradise Lost," and, as soon as i got on break, I intend to read some Jane Austen, C.S. Lewis,  and Sylvia Path's "The Bell Jar"...maybe some Donte too, if i get particularly ambitious.

Five books you would take to a deserted island.
The Bible--for some sanity
"The Catcher in the Rye"-for some insanity
Hawthorne's Short Stories
Something Russian and Wonderful
And my journal and a pen so that I can document my days of slowing going mad. Someday they'll find it, and publish it, and i shall be universally loved...after i'm dead, but isn't that how it always goes.

Who are you going to pass this stick to (3 persons) and why?
On the el-jay....
1.) Theresa, because she's am-azing and nerdy like me!.
2.) Josh, because i can't even imagine what he'd say
3.) My favorite Adam because he's Henry James.
