my back hurts, sammy!
heh, my back hurts a bit right now, cuz most of today i spent cleaning sammy's extra room. that's soon going to be her room, so we had to get all of the shit out of there. all of the trash filled like 10 garbage bags!
it was such crap! but we finished at like 1:30am, and then we just chilled.
this weekend was big for an epic way to die. we tried out a bassist on saturday and a guitarist/vocalist tonight.
the bassist was fucking awesome!!! the best bassist i've ever had the privelege of playing with. he could pop, slap, finger tap, and just play ridiculously fast!! soooooo good! fernando and i were blown away. we were in awe. needless to say, we will be jamming with him next weekend, and hopefully we will know by then if we have a bassist. if we do, this is great, cuz this guy is perfect. listens to some metal/hardcore, but mostly loves incubus. perfect for our hardcore meets incubus style! he's so open-minded, and just has a great attitude. i really hope he works *crosses fingers*.
the guitarist/vocalist was really fuckin good. his songs he wrote are amazing, kinda like green day mixed with something a bit lighter, poppier. he had a really good voice. and he came up with some kick ass shit to play with our songs. we jammed on something for like 20 mins, and it was pretty insane. i enjoyed every minute of it. unfortunately, this guy's stuff just doesn't fit with our style. fern gully and i have decided to support him in his quest for a band, and to come see him when he plays shows and stuff. he's just too good to forget, unlike most people we've tried out. i hope he gets a myspace, so i can hear him and tell others about him.
other than that, a rather boring weekend. i spent a lot of it typing up my grandmother's autobiography. i'm nearly done, and i know she will be so happy when i'm finished. i hope i can finish it next weekend.
