i'm kinda sick
this weekend had mixed results.
saturday was soooo busy and awesome.
fernando, scott and i recorded at ohlone. we got our first song done. it sounds flippin awesome. there are a few errors, but this is a demo (or something) and i find that they give it character. when we do an album, i am gonna be such an anal bitch, i bet gully and scott and our future members will hate me! lol, anyways, at one point, i got locked out of the room in the rain! i was only wearing my wifebeater. i was stuck out there for nearly 15 minutes!! it sucked! no one came for me cuz scott was recording and then he went into the booth to listen to it.. i am not mad. but this is why i'm sick. i went out to call my dad, that's it. it sucks, but whatever. i can't wait til we can go record some more!!
after we dropped off our shit at the space, i met my family at pasta pomodoro at the landing for our birthday dinners. my grandma and my uncle from tahoe were there. i found out my uncle, aunt and cousin jamie are gonna move to colorado in a year or so. that kinda sucks, cuz then they won't be so close. but i must go on a road trip to see their new digs when they move there. 5 bedroom, 3 bath house for $165,000!!!! that's fucking unreal!! i'm happy for them. my uncle gave me a birthday card with a $20 in it, which was kool. then, he did the koolest thing for me: he bought me my first beer. he even beat my dad to it! it was pyramid apricot ale. very good, i've had this before with afp at our first practice space at shurgard in newark. saturday ended with watching bourne identity with pretty sammy.
sunday was slow.
woke up super late (1:15). felt kinda shitty. stayed in bed until 2. didn't eat anything until 3. got dressed and went out to shop for my brother and dad. my dad's birthday is today (essentially). he's 57 now. yay for him. got him a cal bears sweatshirt. got my bro a cd by the gza from wu-tang. geoff is so weird. his last cd he bought was muse, a brit-rock band. now it's the gza... wtf? oh well. bought myself underoath's cd. had to, i'm seein em next month.
then, i went and finally bought my NEW CELL PHONE. it's a motorola camera/video phone. i still don't really know how to use it. i'll figure it out in the next few days. it's still the same #, so no worries there. can't wait to start bein a camera phone whore, lol.
i've just been chillin at my house with pretty sammy since 7. she's still here right now! i love her so much! i wish she could spend the nite! OHH, tree called sammy! she's in sonora for her grandpa's funeral =(, but gully's there right now. he's spendin the nite.. brat. wish i could spend the nite with my g/f.. i gotta wait til coachella for that... oh well. yay for gully and tree!!! i love them both! and i love my sammy! well, i gotta take her home soon, so i can take some nyquil and feel better and go to work (eew.. i hate that word right now..)tomorrow. nitey nite.
