2 months of sobriety.. and 1 month no update
greetings. long time no see. that's my fault. on with the entry.
life is certainly busy, isn't it? i am always on the go, and when i'm not, i like to savor what im doin, whether that's chillin wit sam or playin video games wit my bro. good things continue to abound for me. i was recently named employee of the month down at work. i was so happy when that happened. i worked SOOO FUCKIN HARD to get that plaque. some may say that this shows i am arrogant. fuck that. i deserved that shit. i worked harder than anyone there for two and a half weeks covering for this dude. i did his job, with fewer people at my disposal than he has, nearly twice as good, and i take pride everyday in that when i see how much fuckin work they have left at the end of the night. that guy is lazy and slow, and my boss finally gave me some recognition for doing a good job. that recognition comes with a $50 bonus too, so that makes my bank account happy too!
i saw the mars volta wit geoff and fernando on the 21st. that show was off the hook! they played for two hours and only did 7 songs. 7 SONGS! that's soooo fuckin insane! those guys never cease to amaze me. constantly changing their songs, keepin everything interesting, and always keeping the audience guessing. there are so few bands that can do that and get away with it. tool is one, and they are definitely another. green day's on the 24th!! can't fuckin wait! and i wanna go see sparta at the grand dec 3 wit nando. we'll see what's up wit dat.
some thoughts on the election: FUCK. totally didn't go the way i wanted it to, and i was heartbroken. middle america has their heads shoved up their fuckin asses, i swear. moral values?! what the fuck? you people care more about gays gettin married than the war in iraq? how could we allow this to happen? the country didn't even switch the way they voted from 4 years ago. in fact, more people voted for bush this time than last. HOW THE FUCK IS THAT POSSIBLE?! one word: ignorance. i believe that middle america is ignorant because they believe that bush is the safer choice. how could these people vote based on moral values without exercising moral values of their own and thinking about how horrible of a job this idiot has done? iraq was a mess from the start, and more than half of this country believes this war is going badly. SO WHY DIDN'T THAT INFLUENCE THEIR VOTING?! the fuckin republicans put out these ballot measures with gay marriage on the line, and that causes all these hicks to come out and vote with the moron who says we must defend the sanctity of marriage. good god, dude, why do we care? why don't you pay more attention to al qaeda and iraq? you better do a fuckin better job this time around, ass-breath. if the world unites behind you again (which i strongly doubt), DON'T FUCKIN BLOW IT.
ok, back to reality. i just bought myself a laptop computer. i purchased this for my schooling. i am going to enroll at ohlone for spring semester, and so i needed a tool that can allow me to do my hw wherever and whenever i want. spent $900 on one, and i think it'll do me good. this way i don't haveta bother my bro at 2am to write a paper. and, i can update this lj whenever i want! i like that! i think i'm gonna take 7 credits, so i can still work and support myself. this will be the biggest test of my life. i must stay on track and do all my work, for if i slack, i will never graduate. i can only hope that i can handle the extra load that comes with school. i must stay positive. life has been great since i quit smokin pot. i got my car, got employee of the month, and got a laptop. things are lookin up for me. let's hope they stay that way.
