Well hello!
Long time no speaky!
I hope you all had a very merry Christmas! I had a great time and got some lovely prezzies!
Christmas day was nice and relaxed - we opened presents in the morning, had some tasty soup for lunch (made by Grandma,) watched 17 Again (my present to Sammy) and then had Christmas dinner. Twas lovely.
Boxing day? Well, Boxing day was indeed an adventure. Our plan was to trundle into Edinburgh to see a matinee performance of We Will Rock You. Our granparents house is only about an hour or so from the Burg so we set off in plenty of time. Then, DISASTER! We kept hearing this graunching sound every time we turned left. At first we thought it was just a bit of hard snow. But no. It was a spring - it had broken and was starting to rub against the tyre. Not good. So my dad tried to fix it - in Kelty of all places. Sammy, my mum and I took refuge in the miners/ex servicemen's club. With a realisation that the car could not be fix at the side of the road, we called out the recovery people. They towed the car and my dad to Edinbugh and we were picked up by our grandad who took us to the park and ride.
SO, after a nervous wait for a bus - they had to put an extra one on - we eventually got into Edinburgh at 2pm - the performance was at 2:30. We reunited with out dad and went in.
IT WAS AMAZING! So much fun. Everyone had really strong voices and we got to sing and clap along. It reminds you how many great songs Queen had! So yay.
Then back to Dollar for a few days - relaxing and tasty meals out.
Back to Edinburgh! WITH the car. My dad went in with grandad to get it, came back and took us in. Complicated times. But yay, we made it.
So today Sammy, my dad and I went to see Avatar. It is so beautiful. When i saw the trailers I was like, "hmmm intersting, might go see it." But really, it's worth it, it really is. Everything is so gorgeous, the landscape and scenery that they've created is magical. i went to see it in 3d - I'm still not convinced by 3D cinema but it didn't hinder my experience. I still might go and see it in 2D though - when I peaked over the top of my glasses I saw how mch colour there was! Some bits were in fantastic in 3D though. I just loved it. It takes you into this beautiful, colourful world. Sometimes, when the characters are walking across some grass or whatever, the ground lights up beneath their feet. It's gorgeous. Also, Sigourney Weaver is amazing as usual! Sam Worthington is great, I do like him. So yay all around.
I'm going to shut up now because I'm kind of rambling!
Pictures of festive times to come soon!
