So last night was amazing in one of those "Hey! So this is what it feels like to be alive!" kind of moments.
It wasn't anything big - just going to see one of my good friend's bands play at this tiki bar - but it was big in the smallest ways. On the way there I stumbled across this thrift shop that was still open (at like 9:30!) and found an amazing dress that just may be my graduation dress (ack! Only one day away!!) Then I get to the bar, knowing fully that I would know no one else there and I was 100% fine with it. Met some different people, bought myself a pina colada with a fun umbrella and a plastic monkey. I loove me some pina coladas. And come on, it was a tiki bar!
They had this photobooth there and I wanted Karen to take pics with me soo badly but their set started later than scheduled and I had to make sure I wasn't taking a ridiculously late train home so the booth was a no-go...
..it was just one of those nights. There was a homeless man with a nice voice in the subway station and I was [surprisingly!] not tired.
I love how alive New York is. I really do.
P.S. The band was great...especially since my friend plays the keys! Amazing.
