Snape awoke at his unusual ungodly hour of the morning. His eyes just snapping open, the need to sleep no longer there. He could feel Anne's warm body pressed against his spine, seeking his warmth, in the usual chill of the dungeon.
It was enough to bring a soft smile to his even when his daughter began to fuss. Gingerly he extracted himself from Anne's embrace, and moved to the nursery. Ruby was standing up, her blue eyes wide as she grinned toothily at her father.
"Good morning, Sunshine," he said softly leaning down to kiss her brow, before lifting his daughter from her crib. He dressed her quickly in warm clothing despite the summer heat, the dungeons were always chilly. Humming softly, Snape tickled her feet, before tucking them into the warm sock, his eyes lighting up at the little girl's happy laugh.
Ruby held out her arms for her father, and he picked her up, letting her arms wrap around his neck as he turned to carry her out of the room. But the doorway was blocked by Anne, and he smiled softly before kissing her brow. "Good morning, my naughty little student," he softly and affectionately.
His free hand ran over the newly forming bump on her stomach, and he leaned down to catch her lips, in a seering kiss.
