"Now I know why we came here," said Dex as he took a drag of his cigarette, his demeanor cool and reserved, unlike his best friend, Dominic, who was older but acted as though he were a first year sometimes. He always had a boyish smile and a twinkle in his eye, eager to please everyone.

"What's wrong with meeting up with friends?" he grinned as his arm slid around Merc's shoulder. He downed the rest of the whiskey he was drinking and refilled the glass with the bottle he purchased. "Care for a nip?" he tempted Merc, even though the boy was underage. Dom cast a glance to the barkeep who wasn't looking.

Nicky moved to the table that had just received new customers but when he got there there was only Venus in the booth. He recognized her right away. She was a year ahead of him but they were in the same house and both terrible shy. He smiled and held his order pad in his hand. "Ca..can I get you anything?" he asked, his eyes almost afraid to meet hers.

Mars rolled his eyes, and just reached for the bottle himself. He chuckled to Dex, "Of course that is why you came here."

V's eyes slowly rose to Nicky's and she blushed softly. "Poppa wants coffee, Rena will have milk. May I have a water?" she asked softly, realizing there was no one to speak for her.

Dom patted Merc's back before pulling back his arm and resting his hand on the other boys knee. "Doesn't mean they have to stay with their father. Perhaps they can come with us. We can go to your house, Dex. Your grandparents on't be back until Christmas Eve."

Merc smirked, Casey's classic smirk, and he let his hand cover Dom's, sliding it higher on his leather clad thigh. His deep blue eyes flashed to Dexter, his tongue rolled against his lower lip. "Come on, Dexy, you know you want to play with Mars."

Dom winced as Mars kicked him instead of his brother.

Dex was quite certain he could be very entertained by Mars but he had other ideas. "Could you bring your sister?" he inquired, his lips curling in the corners of his mouth just to see the twins reaction.

Nicky carried the drinks to the table, spilling the water a little which he quickly wiped the spilt water on the table with the end of his apron. "Sorry," he told her, feeling quite clumsy.

Merc had to laugh at that. The thought of someone wanting Venus wasn't far fetched, the thought of V letting someone touch her was.

Venus blushed as she heard her brothers and reached for a napkin to clean up the mess. "It's alright, Nicholas," she said softly. The boys busted up in laughter overhearing the stammering servant boy.

Merc's eyes lit up with a wicked glint. But Mars protested, "But, Poppa we were going to Dexter's house." Merc kicked out with his foot, connecting with Mars' calf, and the older boy's eyes darkened.

Dex enjoyed the taunting and the way the twins' sister shielded herself. It just made Dex want her more.

Dom bit his lip as Casey looked at him as though he could see all of Dom's wicked thoughts.

Venus watched briefly as Nicky left, clearly not happy with her situation, but Casey had already turned his penetrating gaze back on his boys.
