Setting: The flat above 'The Folds'
Characters: Christian, Bean, Karma (solo, private)
Summary: A nice happy solo to make up for all my badness lately

Chrissy just happened to be playing with the new hand held digital camera, in the early hours of the morning. Bean was awake, so he was up. Karma was sleeping curled up in her bed. He could never get them to sleep entirely the same hours, so he was a little sleep deprived himself. He was half tempted to ask Amie to move in, in hopes of getting a nap...but there just wasn't room for both her and Lee, not to mention her pride, and how they would talk at work.

Especially after the shit the other girls had given Amie, when it got around work, that Amie regularly stayed after to have a drink with Christian. One of their talks, after probably a few too many, Christian had called Amie his second wife, jokingly, but the girls...well...

Christian turned when he heard an impatient noise from Beanie. He focused the camera on her, after all Beanie always seemed to know when Christian had a camera. She pulled herself to stand as if she had been waiting on Chrissy. A large toothy smile spread across her face as she looked up with him, at this look that to Christian just screamed, 'Look at me, Daddy.' She giggied and slapped her hand against the couch she had used to stand up, before she walked toward him.

A large gorgeous grin spread across his face, and he kept the camera on her. "That's it, baby girl. Come to Daddy."

When she was just three of her steps aways she lost her balance, and fell on her behind, setting off her loud, attention seeking cry.

Christian set the camera down on the coffee table, the camera not out of his hands completely when he heard the click of the side of the crib going down.

Karma had figured out how to open the crib so she could climb out. She crawled to her sister, quickly, and wrapped her arms around her twin.

"Owwwwwie," Beanie cried hugging her sister.

Karma kissed Beanie's forehead as Christian frequently did when he picked up one of the girls after not seeing them for awhile. Then she said it, as clear as day, "Beanie."

Christian gasped and nearly dropped the new camera. Kar had spoken. He had been so afraid that she wasn't going to speak. Beanie had done all the talking so far...her first word had been when she was eleven months old. 'Daddy' had been her word, Christian had nearly cried.

The girls were now almost fifteen months old. And Karma had spoken...and he had it on camera.

Beanie smiled and hugged her sister, "Karmama."

After setting down the camera he scooped up both of his girls, praising, and peppering their adorable faces with butterfly kisses, until they were giggling and holding up their hands to stop his kisses.

When Beanie said, "Down," Chrissy let the girls down, smiling as they hugged his legs. "Wuv you, Daddy," Beanie said softly.

Christian teared up, "I love you too, Beanie." When Kar pouted, he arched his brow at her, wanting her to say it, knowing she could now.

"Wuv you," Karma said softly looking up at him hopefully.

Christian beamed, "I love you, Karma. I love you both so much."
