mixed emotions
Idiocy is: me trying to go into the office to get a few hours of work done immediately pending a severe ice storm.
Terror is: getting stuck on the ice and blocking traffic at a 45 degree angle on a busy downtown street while futilely pressing on the gas, meanwhile hoping no one slides (like I did) and hits me.
Relief is: rescue in the form of two grizzled (but nice!) Wilford Brimley-esque city bus drivers throwing salt under my tires.
Futility is: getting stuck at the same *&%$##^ing angle on the ice one glorious stoplight later.
Joy is: getting 1-1/2+ free days off work because of ice!!
Shame is: not posting on LJ for over a year. I'll try to do better!
