i played in rec sem yesterday and it went incredibly well. i played a really hard delacluse and i got one comment and it went like this "That was sick, you were definitely paying attention to that french dude that came here last year".
its the first snare piece i've played since last year, and all the freshmen came up to me later and were like "we knew you were sick, but we didn't know you were SICK!"
definitely a confidence booster if i do say so myself.
i had a mallet lesson today and my studio professor was very pleased with how i played yesterday.
this semester isn't sucking like last semester.
i'm actually relatively happy.
i saw paul baribeau twice last week. brooklyn show was awesome. the buffalo crowd sucked hard. a band from fred played and they were awesome. i had a good cursive conversation with one of the singers.
i'm probably going to andrew bird next week. he's playing radio city music hall in june if anyone is down. i'm ordering tickets soon.
