Well, the result is good!

To achieve the sepia effect in PS, you could always overlap the picture with a sepia gradient.

Oh and btw, I just thought I'd say that instead of going back and deleting the parts of the photograph you don't want, just use the image as a brush. Set a new layer to screen and fill w/ white, then stamp the brush in black. It works as a mask. Works magic, too. ;)
