One of the factors in great series are excellent soundtracks that let us discover artists we may have had no clue about otherwise.
That awkward moment when you hear the song that perfectly resonates with the moment and think "Hmm. It's like Willie Nelson singing Leonard Cohen's song!".
Then you check out the "new guy" and find out that he's an author of the "Wild Thing" (made famous by Jimi Hendrix), "Try (Just a Little Bit Harder)" (Janis Joplin) and many other hits performed by the music legends.
Oh, and that he's also a brother of Jon Voight and an uncle of Angelina Jolie.
And that this song is from the album recorded with the band called New Ukrainians.
And this clip is as NYC as it gets.
I'm melted into blubbering puddle.
