It's a Comeback!

Jan 23, 2009 21:13

So, its been over a year since my last post (Nov, 2007) to be exact, and I think its about time that I make my big comeback to the world of LJ.

Its been so long, that I hardly know what to write...
I guess I'll start with school. L.A.S.T. S.E.M.E.S.T.E.R. A.T. G.U.E.L.P.H.!!
As much as I'm excited to leave here, I'm sure I'll miss it. Even though I'm not the biggest fan of the city itself (probably because I've never spent much time exploring...) I love the campus. Its such an easy place to navigate and relax and chill out. Lots of places for lounging, lots of yummy food.
Last semester is pretty chill. I'm only taking four courses, two are 2nd year philosophy classes (Metaphysics and Existentialism), one is a 3rd year philosophy class (Ethics in the Life Sciences... my new minor/replacement for philosophy minor), and a 3rd year human genetics class.
Not too bad in terms of content, its all pretty easy to understand, but there is A LOT of reading and writing to be done, which I am not very used to. For my 2nd year philosophy classes, we have weekly assignments based on the readings. Its good I guess, because it keeps you on top of the readings, and its basically a free 20% of our grade, but its kinda a pain in the butt. One of such assignments is due tonight at midnight, which is probably why I've decided to re-start writing in this thing.
I've kind of been slacking on the applications for next year that I have to do, but I'll get them done eventually. I also need to find out about getting my Guelph and (possibly?) high school transcripts.

I swear to god that I saw the best looking guy (...by my taste) on the bus on monday night, and I saw him again today in the UC photographing a concert thingy that was going on. That was exciting. Ha ha. (My life is sooooo interesting!)

I was actually on the bus on monday night coming home from a DANCE CLASS that Meghan and I are taking. "Seductive Dance" is what its called, and its pretty fun. We've had two classes so far, and its basically like hip hop, but some more hip rotations and "chest pops". Decent workout though. AND we might be part of a recital in March.

Jasper, my landlord's dog, got neutered this week. It was pretty sad, but its probably a good thing, cause he was really hyper and jumpy so maybe this will help calm him down.

Annyways, I probably should actually start my readings for my assignment due tonight. Its Heidegger, and I'm overly excited about the whole thing. Oh wells.
