Since I can't really afford to adopt a dog right now, in addition to all the other costs in caring for one, I think I'm going to send in my application for being a foster home for the golden rescue organization in this area.

If it starts to get too hard emotionally to let go of them once they're adopted, I'll have to deal with it then and decide what other options are available.

Has anyone had any experiences with fostering?
