in the home stretch!
Tonight is the school holiday drop-by party, and tomorrow is my last class of the semester. It's crazy busy with the end of semester crunch stuff, and tons more mtgs than normal. but next week is the final (I better finish writing that!), then after grading those I'll have 1 semester under my belt! Wohoo! And no teaching next semester or summer!
And I'm very much looking forward to ~2.5 weeks home in the bay area with family.
It's overall been a good term, with the exception of the crazy week of wildfires. I like my class and students. I still have no idea what I'll teach next year in addition to my policy class, but I think I'm in decent shape for doing this one again, although I may change textbooks or just do a reader.
I still can't believe it's Dec. already.
Oh, and I won 2nd prize in that new faculty treasure hunt thingee, $80 campus shop gift card!! I was hoping for the 1st prize (which was something like a $500 gift card, supposedly the amount to buy lunch on campus everyday for a semester), but I think I'll go get a nice school jacket or sweater or something.
