I was fired today for my attendance. I could attempt to type out all that played through my head as I was driving home, but to save time and save you from listening to me bitch... Yes, I fucked up and could've done better. But they value attendance over work performance and output, which, to me, seems a bit assinine. I understand that if I'm not there, I can't perform, but it's not like being late 20 minutes because of fucking Grand Island traffic ever caused me to not finish my work or even force someone else to the work I was supposed to be doing for that 20 minutes. ::sigh:: This just proves I should never go to college for business as I would probably have to slam my head repeatedly into a brick wall to get enough brain damage to actually have any sort of business sense. In the end I just need to remember my mistake and make sure when I go to interviews for a job I spin this all positively and not just bitch about thier lack of caring about actual job performance. You know, like I did just there.
Thanks to my wonderful, beautiful and amazing girlfriend Dana, I was able to afford the final few pieces to my PC upgrade and now this computer is BITCHIN'! For the first time I can install games and turn the video settings UP. Oblivion, Titan Quest, Lord of the Rings Online, Half-Life 2 all look fucking amazing now. Current specs: Intel Core 2 Duo E6400 running at 2.13ghz, 2GB of DDR667 RAM, an ECS Nvidia nForce 570 SLI mobo,an EVGA GeForce 8800GTS 320MB video card and a 500W, modular power supply. Still using the same monitor, hard drives and DVD drives. At some point in the future (distant future now that I'm jobless, though even when I had one it was still distant) I'd like to grab a 19" widescreen LCD monitor, and a duplicate of my current vid card to run SLI. But for now, this shit roxxors my boxxors. In this, I am happy.
Guess I should get this job search shit started, eh?
