[[OOC: Rix inspired me. I've written part one. And I finished one of my school papers! I'm on a roll tonight. Part two will be up shortly. It'll be Ernie/Justin and Dean/Parvati based. Yes. You read that right. Dean and Parvati. So. Here's Susan.]]
---
Susan sat, knees drawn to chest, blanket draped over her shoulders, staring at the small black box in front of her. She had opted to stay in a Muggle village close to Hannah's. She wasn't sure who she could trust. Didn't want to see anyone she knew. She didn't know how she was going to answer questions if they were asked. So, she figured that the little inn was the best way to avoid a confrontation with anyone. Exchanging her wizarding money at Gringotts wasn't nearly as difficult as she had imagined. No problems so far, she thought.
She couldn't sleep, though. She'd found that the noise from the television helped her nerves a little. Susan was a little apprehensive about the box with the people in it at first. But Justin had tried explaining it to her when they'd all spent the weekend at his house.
"There aren't actually people in there, Sus. It's a little hard to explain. It's all previously recorded. And then they edit it. And a television station sends the shows out. No one is actually in there," Justin said.
"It's weird, Justin. I don't get it. And wipe that exasperated look off of your face. Your explanation was about as clear as mud."
"I hate you. Stop shaking your head. I do."
Susan rolled her eyes. "You love me. I'm your best friend. You'd die without me. Your world would collapse if I weren't in it. Admit it."
"You're right. You are my best friend. My world would collapse. But you're still a huge pain in my arse, Bones," he said, grinning at her.
Susan coughed, trying to rid herself of the memory. Why had she decided to leave her best friends behind. They were probably tearing out their hair. What if his world was actually collapsing? She should have told them.
No! Stop second guessing yourself. And stop being so conceited. You do not have that effect on anyone. No one's life is falling apart without you. Stop thinking about it. There's really no use. Go to bed. Wake up in the morning. Head to Hannah's. Find her and Seamus. And deal with the mess that your heart has made after this is all over, she thought.
And so she turned her attention back to some man named David Brent making a complete ass of himself.
