Here are the problems with audiobooks in mp3 form:

- They get lost.
- Most players/organisers are not designed for books, even if they have an audiobook tag. They don't have the tools for organising 'albums' with 25 10min tracks. So far the only decent programme I have found is some media thing that runs on Linux.
- If you have a disorganised player - say, because you couldn't be arsed to name every fucking file and just stuck numbers in there - then things can get wierd. I keep dosing off to one book and waking up in another. It's ok if you wake up to Arthur Dent wanting tea but not so great if it's trollocks attacking Tam Al'Thor's farm.

The worst one ever was when I fell asleap with 1984. That fucked me up for hours after.

I am assuming here that most people don't pay for thier audiobooks. You should pay for some though. If it stops being profitable they just won't get made and then where will we be? Back with shit abridged large print and braile books. No thank you! They just don't work. Nah, I must pay for about 1 in 20 audiobooks. Thats what I can afford.

Right to access literature for cheap should be in the law somewhere.

Sleep now.
