Kings Road charity shop haul:
A 1960s copy of An Introduction to Technical Linguistics from Goldsmiths library. Totally useless but for 2 quid I just had to.
A copy of Greenmantle that matches the copy of Prester John I found in Scotland.
Two trashy novels of the type awarded to schoolboys to promote hard work and good Christian values. They both have beautiful 3 colour covers and very ornate Sunday School certificates on the inside of the cover. One is 1900s and has some wonderful colour illastrations and one is slightly earlyer with a black and white woodcut. Owen got very excited about how they were printed - I think his dad has quite a collection of old books. I am more interested in the language. This is very much my genre.
One of the things I am looking forward too in Edinburgh is the sheer number of second hand shops of all variaties.
