What can I say about you? You are my sister, my friend and my companion through our family journeys. You are the one that shared my childhood memories of moving around and the hardships of making new friends and getting accustomed to new cultures, languages and new lives. Even though I used to throw carrots in your dish behind your back, and threaten you that "old ghost is going to get you" if you didn't listen to what I say, and cut your barbie's hair and take apart your head, I hope that you understand that I love you too, very much. Our family bond is strong, as we learned this weekend, we are a very lucky family, in many ways. We look out for each other and give each other advice from our own experiences.
This year will be a challenging one for you. You will be inundated with college tests, honors classes, AP tests, college applications and essays. But in the end its all worth it. Just remember that. With each ounce of energy you put in now, it will repay you double. Don't regret it later on, just work hard now, and then you will reap the benefits later. Don't compare everything to other people. Do things for yourself. Learn for yourself. Live life for yourself.
Mom and I often scold you for being "life style little white eat," because you are still young and learning, there are many things you have not seen and learned. Remember that each day is a learning experience. You need to control your emotions better. And I am sure that you will learn that during college. Congrats on becoming such a smart, beautiful and loving girl, you have lots things later on that we will congratulate you on!
