Oh. I think a piece of me melted. I love how he tells her all the good and sad parts of the story, but not the part that keeps him up at night. Very nice.

Thank you. It was that part that I could see him leaving out, only actually saying it once she couldn't hear

and then he'll curse himself for not being able to admit it to her properly...he'll think if he's says it aloud enough times, it'll be less real or he'll finally be able to forgive himself, but he'll just end up hating himself a little more each time because he'll think he's a coward. oh, my poor Doctor.

Oh, that last line just kills. The whole thing, really. That he finds it hard to talk about Gallifrey and *impossible* to tell her the last... Absolutely brilliant. Am memming this, thanks for sharing. :)
