The Whedonverse has lost another of it's most shining stars.
Andy Hallett was a talented actor and singer. I fell totally in love with his character from the first time he appeared on Angel, the show would not have been the same without him. Lorne's exit from the show broke my heart, possibly more than any other part of the final episode, but he also gave us humour during some of the darkest episodes of the show and of course he was able to make use of his incredible singing voice in more than one episode.
I regret that I never had the chance to meet him, but from all reports he was a lovely, genuine guy.
At 33 years old he had so much talent and so much more to give to the world.
To borrow from Lorne himself: Good night, Lorne.
