Space station is nearly complete =)
This is the flyby from yesterday after the orbiter undocked...it's sped up of course, but all the trusses and solar panels and major modules are on installed now =D
Listen for the sonic boom on saturday around 1:30ish...orbiter will land around then.
I love my job, this is what everything revolves around here at work, when they take these payloads from our building and go up to the station and make these huge accomplishments. It's great to see all these videos and images come back to us here at KSC...we have some great pictures and videos from this mission.
Just for scale, the width along the trusses and solar panels is well over a football field long, the length is nearly a football field long. This place is huge now, and they are able to do twice as much science on board now with the additional power =D
