Short story recommendation: "The Precedent," by Sean McMullen
Very good story; I highly recommend.
Years after climate has brought the end of civilization as we know it, those who could have averted or postponed the disaster are tried and punished. Much more than this is a story about global warming, it's a story about blame and responsibility. I think this story is written with outstanding craft and creativity, and offers depth and subtlety which are found all too rarely.
