People still look to President Obama as a means to an end, a political savior to solve all our problems because we do not have the time nor the inclination to fix our problems ourselves. The truth is, his every speech leading up to his victory and even into his Presidency to this day, I hear in all his speeches, a call to arms for the creative minds and others willing. To come forth and provide the inspiration needed and the teachers necessary to learn an already learned society on new truths. Through him we are taught how to inspire, President Barack Obama is nothing more then a symbol for inspiration. He has shown us the power that inspiration yields. It becomes the citizens responsibility to learn from this and follow in suit.
The change we need will be long, hard, and possibly violent. All possibilities must be considered in considering the impossible. The President has laid the ground work for the type of inspiration needed and eagerly craved by the general populace. From there the creative and liked minds must assemble to provide the inspiration and education necessary to even start the process of change. After that those inspired are left in charged with testing ideas and possibilities churned out of the inspired for probable solutions. There will not be an immediate remedy to our aggressively expanding assortment of problems without solutions. If the solution existed, the general populace could never radically accept any one idea and in this i find comfort with my fellow man, a wrong choice may be made but at least it is only after all arguments have been exhausted.
There is much knowledge to be gained in open discussion and we should never frighten from discussion, especially if its opposing ideas. If not for these situations we could never strengthen our arguments and find the faults in our ideas and concepts.
So it becomes clear to me that my role in todays society is to inspire, as a writer it is my duty to inspire others to the next step of change and that is to test the creative "what if's?" for possibilities. I cannot tell others what their role is or even declare that there is a role that everyone should play. It is for oneself to decide weather or not what role is suited best, if any role at all. Even something as simple as teaching others how to live, travel, and gain culture within your means of income is a role in society worth pursuing. For some their role will be moon exploration while someone else's could be teaching any subject of their choosing in the best manner that they are learned upon. So my future will be the writer who asks the questions and provides the what if's that lack the science of fact as the painter paints an image that suggests something more beautiful then we noticed at first glance, just as the teacher tells us that anything is possible if you follow your dreams. Take your talent, skills, knowledge, and resources, and shape the role you want to play in society by utilizing these traits that you have developed over time.
(ugh tried to freehand a persuasive essay on how Obama is a symbol of hope, change, and inspiration and that he is nothing more then that. From him we are to hear his call to arms to take responsibility for our problems and our faults and our short-comings and provide ourselves with solutions to these. That change will be long and will not stop or end with Obama. Change has yet to start and its waiting on the creative and liked minds to answer the call and begin inspiring the nation and even the rest of the world of what great possibilities lie just outside of our grasps.)
