it's snowing
first real snow of the season tonight. i don't know how happy i am about that.
how crazy is it that it's already december? where the hell did the year go? i feel like i can hardly remember anything.
i met this really wonderful girl last night. we talked for four hours, and then ended up seeing Before the Devil Knows You're Dead (which wasn't all that great, sadly). it was so entirely refreshing to spend time with someone outside of the Beverly/Montserrat bubble. i suppose it also helps that she's 29, but still. the thing that made it so great though, was the fact that i didn't feel uncomfortable around her at all. usually i'm pretty nervous when i meet someone for the first time, and there are those awkward silences that can last forever. but with her it was different, i was completely at ease, it was delightful. i sincerely hope that we become good friends. heaven knows i'm in need of those.
