Stories From Taiwan, Part XI
Okay, so I lied about gross food postings from Taiwan- I'm posting more than one. So if my last posting about the shrimp/sea urchin grossed you out, you may not want to read the following. You've been warned.
So today I had fish intestine soup. Yup, you read that right. It wasn't too bad, even with the intestines in the soup. Yeah, they were in there. In fact, it looked exactly as if they had gutted multiple fish, tossed the intestines into some soup base, dished it up, and said, "here, enjoy!" It was quite interesting sticking the whole mass of intestines (connected by the liver) into my mouth and eating it.
While it wasn't too bad, I'm not sure I'd order it again. Not because of the grossness factor, but simply because it wasn't all that great. *shrug* Chalk this up to my list of weird-things-eaten!
