Time to be leaving

I finally had my pretty Willy. My own love, to care for, and keep. Grandmummy always horded daddy's time, and I got lonely when he didn't pay attention to me. Not that he never paid attention, oh no, daddy knew just what I liked.

But now I was a mummy, and it was my turn to rock the little baby, and keep him warm at night.

"Wonderful William, your kills are spectacular. Daddy will be sad he missed it, but that is okay, as the birds will whisper it to him, before we even return home." I smiled.

"But now, it's time that we go on, and let you mix with the rest of my family. They shall be so pleased to meet you. No worms, no entrails, just long lines of time. Time, William. Time is what we have. We can do anything with it, you and I. And daddy and grandmummy. You'll see. We'll have cake, and dream of lemons. And there will be pie." I grabbed his hand, and started to half walk, half drag him from the alleyway.

"Daddy says we're leaving London, so we must catch up, or they will leave us here. Daddy does that sometimes, but he always comes back. The queen of Hearts says he must, and so he does. But now, the stars tell me that we must away, and find the dark. Ashes William, ashes are what the sun brings, and you don't want to be here for that!"

I head toward the house we'd taken over and were now calling home, trying to bring William after me. There are so many games to play, that even Miss Edith knows that a more family means more fun. And fun, oh the fun, like blood running down the tower of London, is what we shall have.
