Writer's Block: Unnecessary Objects

Oct 16, 2008 13:24

I have a strong sentimental connection to my small collection of stuffed animals. Some of them I've had since I was a small child. I grew up with them, and they are a part of my life story. Others are stuffed cats, which I started collecting when I realised just how much I love cats. One was an over priced tiger that I bought at the San Diego Zoo. I would have bought a little stuffed panther too, but they were something like 25 dollars each, and I only had enough money to buy one. It tore at my heart because the panther was SO CUTE, but there was really nothing I could do.

These stuffed animals are definitely things I don't need. I keep them on a chair in my bedroom. Since my fiance and I moved into the house, they haven't moved from that spot. I haven't played with them, I haven't picked them up, and I haven't given them away. I never intend to give them away. They mean so much to me, even though they are essentially useless to me now.
