you care.
i love driving. i really do. i had forgotten why, but this week was good for reminding me. i went to nh to visit shelly before i leave for camp. on tuesday i drove everywhere, down every road i wanted to. i got lost, and got unlost, all by myself. it was like new jersey driving, but i already found out new jersey. it was hilly, and also flat, and it was just plain fun. it was great to have something new to photograph. it was liberating to be hours and hours from home and all by myself, without restrictions. i have decided that i will live part of my life in new england, but i will spend the rest in new jersey. new hampshire was quaint, but magnificant at the same time. vermont had the same feel, but it felt a little less homey. on my way home, i stopped in northern mass. for a little exploring, and it was wonderful. i went up to poet's tower and looked at the mountains. it was worth the extra hours. ct was a bitch as usual, but i was in a good mood from mass, so it was okay. i'd like to have a small two bedroom ranch in the mountains one day, just so i can tell my kids i lived there. whatever was lacking in my week, my car made up for it in miles. i sent postcards, because i doubt i'll go back. i even sent myself something special from the post office, and i hope it gets here. i have a one armed car tan, and on top of that, i have a farmers tan. sweet.
(oh yeah, i forgot... SOME FUCKING TRUCK FROM OKLAHOMA FUCKING CHIPPED MY BRAND FUCKING NEWUSED WINDSHIELD!! MOTHERFUCKER! and i dont have comp on my car so it will stay as a reminder of road trip nh 05. nice.)
i hung out with kris and we talked about college and changing. i felt selfish for caring about my birthday. we ate diner food and then sat there forever with water, tea, and coffee. i missed those times. i bought phone faceplates, and gave her vmars to watch. it was well worth the random time.
