So Whats up? Why have I ben gone so long?
Well.. for starters the internet is starting to stress me out. Too much BS. But also I have been hyper focused on trying to get itno school. I've kinda put all my eggs in one basket and am aiming for Bishops www.ubishops.ca (take a loo, its a very pretty campus) Its pretty much just what im looking for. A small friendly liberal arts school in Quebec with lots of rez spaces. This place is really cool. Only about 2000 students, and they realy seem to go the extra mile for them, garenteeing rez spots for first years, all you can eat dining plan and friendly aprochable staff. Oh and they have in house security. Thats a biggie, because if you want to do something right you do it in house. If yuo want to do something cheap you contract it out. Its nto allways easy to go with in house but I work in the buisness and I know that it way better that way, and with something as important as security you want to stay in house. Lets see what else? Oh did i mention the aproachable staff? OMG! I went to the open house this weekend and while im there i want to finish my aplication right? Hand in my forms. So I walk up wo one of the "student embasaders" and ask him where I can get ahold of someone who I can talk to about this sort of thing and he says 'Oh, go downstairs and ask for Damion, he should be hanging aroudn in the hall." So im like thinking "Okay cool, Damion must be like the student they have apointed to point people in the direction of the admissions office or something. Ahhh.. nope wrong. I get downstairs and ask "say do yuo know where I can find Damion?" "Oh yeah Damion Roy, hes just over there." *points to man in nice suit* and im thinking "Roy? ... Damion Roy? where have a heard that name before? Or right Mr. D. Roy, the dean of Admissions, I wrote him a letter!"
Me trying not to shit myself "ahh.. hello there.. I realise I probably should be handign this to your secritary or something but.."
Him taking the papers from me "Your not used to Bishop's are you?"
Me "Ahh no.."
Him "Don't worry about it, we do things differently here"
And we stand there and chat a bit, I explain that im apling as a mature student and he skims over my letter and transcipts and seems to like what he reads and says he'll make sure it gets filed later and we chat a bit more before I slink off to sooth my wracked nervs. God.. I am so nervous about getting into this school. But yeah, nice friendly people. The principal of the school gave a little speach while we were eating, telling us about how he lives on campus and his door is literaly never locked and once a bunch of students walked into his living room thinking it was a faculty building.
The place is really nice. Its got some pretty old buildings (and trees). The chapel is a Quebec historic site and its really breathtaking.
Anyways I should be getting a reply within a couple weeks. My mom says Im in for suer but Im worried I wont be accepted, im also worried I wont get the loans and burseries I need or that I wont get the room I want or all sorts ofthings.. *sigh* i stress way too much I know, but i can't help it!
Oh and I got new glasses. They aer the square "emo" style. Im a lil iffy on them but everyone else sems to think they look really good.
hh what else? Oh yeah im too stressed n stuff to write video game reviews right now. Oh and I have to figure out stuff with my roommates. Long story short, its time to leave and im trying to do it in a way that doesnt inconvienence everyone at the same time. anyways wish me luck.
