bad weather and earlier closed school

Jan 18, 2007 12:54

School was officially closed after the fourth lesson, which means 12°clock because of thunderstorm and "hurricane-warnings" for the most western parts of germany. English was canceled for today, too, because my teacher is ill and so I was allowed to go home after to lessons at 10 in the morning.
Or I should better say I asked my mother to collect me by car, because it was so rainy and stormy that I would have been wet to the skin if I'd taken the bus home. I made this experience at the way to school earlier in the morning. I only had to walk three minutes to the bus station and about five minutes from the other bus station to my school and it was almost impossible. I tried to protect me from rain with an umbrella, but because of the wind it was hard to keep in in the hand and to obviate that the umbrella flows away. In the weather-forecast it's said that in some regions the wind/storm will maybe have a speed up to 180 or 200 km/hour and the rain won't stop before tomorrow.
The meteorologists suggests that everyone should stay at home and do not go out during the rest of the day if he can. And when I recognize what's happening outside, although the storm is not on his highest level I can really understand it. Hopefully the really worse things like accidents etc. will pass by here...
First there was no real winter and now there is such a bad weather in january. I mean the temperatures are ok, not to cold, but the rest...

Tomorrow I'll just have one lesson from 8.15 to 9° clock in the morning, because all the younger students will get there mark-certificate for these half-year. We got it before the winter holidays started in december, because our school-term will be shorter and we'll write our last tests for graduation in march...
We tried to persuade our teacher to drop this one lesson and to give us the things as homework, but he does not want to do it and so I'll have to go up early for one school-lesson.
But who care's, one lesson tomorrow is better then all friday-lessons, because Friday is the day with my most haded lessons following each other....
