Yes, I am betraying my deteriorating office ethics to post an eljay entry.
If you remember me telling some of you personally, my boss had been frequenting my lonely office downstairs. I kept wondering what the problem was...because, it's quite worrying when you're boss starts visiting your office like he's looking for something to sack you for.
Well, he had been telling me to enter a CPF entry into the accounting system, and earlier this week I agreed readily. I kept pushing it back until today, when I realised that someone else had already done it for me. Naturally, my conclusion was that he was wondering what on earth I was so busy with not to update the system (which he checks daily) and because he needed to close last months accounts soon, he decided to key it in himself like he does sometimes with other bills etc. I was all omg-i'm-so-STUPID when I put two and two together and kept thinking about how the only thing I could think of when he came down was that my office was really messy - and his is waaaay messier - and felt. well. stupid.
So, I decided to apologise for that and thank him for the help when I went to his office to sign some documents.
And after spologising profusely with a pained expression on my face, boss goes: "No, I didn't key it in for you what. Better ask accounts guy (he has a name, I'm not putting it down). I didn't do it. Most likely it was accounts guy. Go ask him."
I went: "Oh. Okay. Really sorry about that."
Walked out.
And felt like finding a hole to bury myself in.
... the closest thing to a possible burial venue happens to be the cesspool. Stinks bad when they clean it out.
I'm seriously freaking out.
