ive been so busy the past couple weeks ive been going crazy, but im finally done, and im ready for a good long post. and im too lazy to do a cut, so read it or shove it.
i havent had a real post since august 8th. and its definately september now, wow. gonna have to go back and look at the calendar now to figure out what ive done, you know i dont remember it all.
-first and foremost, i finally finished class. im done with school and homework and tests and papers and studying and all that other crap until april. yes im gloating. be jealous. :P i made it through finals and everything, and on thursday i turned in my last paper and officially completed my sophomore year. im not 100% sure when i start my co-op yet, but it will be by the end of this month. until then, the only real thing on the agenda is cleaning the apartment. otherwise im planning on being a complete bum. call me, we'll do stuff, i only have weekend plans so far.
-we went to a family barbeque in new hope, at neil and robins house. all six of us got into the car together without argument, it was impressive. found out my step-cousin kallie used to go out with this kid that graduated with my brother from high school and worked with me on the school newspaper, it was a little creepy. that afternoon remains the first and only time i was swimming all summer. boo class. it was hot out, i wish i could have swam more.
-the next weekend i went to the poconos. kevin's friend bill has a house up near jack frost. the original plan was to go whitewater rafting, but they cancelled the dam release or something along those lines, so that was called off the day before we went. kevin picked me up from the silkscreen lab where i had just finished my final projects on friday afternoon and we made the 2 hour drive up there. met up with bill and aj to follow them to the house, and then armstrong came up on friday night too, so it was me and the 4 boys. we played board games and drank, real exciting, i know. but that night was still very good, other reasons. sometime on friday aj decided that he wanted to go fishing on saturday. he found this place called anglers cove about 45 minutes away. we drive all the way out there, and its a glorified puddle in someone's backyard with a whole bunch of goldfish in it. we stood there and laughed at it and aj and took a couple pictures and left. we pretty much napped and hung out on saturday afternoon and had just about done our life rematch when allison and sean and lindsey got there with enough alcohol to get 20 people housed. we didnt drink to the point of complete destruction though, well except for bill, who sat on the porch with his head between his knees while kevin and i had our first mini-drama, which was stupid and wouldnt have even come out if we hadnt been drinking. aj tried to shut me up with cookies but sean moderated and then we made up and it was good again. sunday we went to camelbeach, the waterpark at the ski resort, it was a lot of fun, we all got mad sunburn. we came back and napped, then went out to dinner. armstrong left, and then we went to get in the car to go back to the house and kevin's car wouldnt start. they pushed it around the parking lot and down a little hill and it started, we drove back to the house and turned it off and couldnt start it again, kevin got all stressed out and drank too much too fast and was gone within an hour. seriously, the majority of the weekend was drinking and sleeping. we got up early and started to clean up, then waited until everyone else was awake so they could push us a start home. i slept, got home and went to class. it was the battery, he got it fixed that afternoon.
-during the week kevin and i (we normally do hang out at least twice a week) were laying down and talking, and we officially decided to use the boyfriend/girlfriend titles. not too exciting, but it still means something to me. im happy. that weekend was just a chill out one before finals, we went to see 4 brothers with his roomate and his girlfriend, it was ok. nothing too exciting, just generally being cute and happy to spend time with each other.
-last week i was talking to kevin one night and all of a sudden he's like "come to pittsburg with me this weekend" and i said um, ok. and everyone that i mentioned it to was like "why are you going to pittsburg, what is there to do there" well the one thing to do there was exactly what we (same group as the poconos with a couple substitutions, no armstrong, matt and andrea instead) did, in style...get completely trashed. it was fun, very entertaining. LOTS of pictures online:
http://photobucket.com/albums/v636/_smallworld/pittsburg/ i bring my camera, i leave it out, everyone takes lots of fun pictures. there are a bunch of the guys playing football on sunday afternoon. my batteries died and i didnt get any pictures from when kevin and aj each had 100 gummy bears in their mouths :( otherwise, you can narrarte the weekend yourself with the pictures. again, if you really decide you want to know whats going on, you are more than welcome to ask. friday night we were supposed to go to the movies and bed early so we could get an early start, but we changed our minds and went to a drexel party with tom and yashar (kevin's and my mini-drama from the poconos is officially dead now, yay) and got pretty happy, not too gone. made grilled cheese on the george forman because we didnt want to go anywhere once we got home. we left kevin's apartment at 11, drove to landsdale to get sean and lindsey who werent ready so we went and got breakfast and drove past kevin's house so i could see where he lived. its 305 miles to pittsburg, which is built on the side of a mountain, everything is steep, we drove through five tunnels and my ears wouldnt stop popping, we had fun.
ive definately been typing for a few hours, im so easily distracted. i think im going to go lay down and work on the scarf that im making some more, its over a foot long now, it might be done by the time its cold. my head still hurts from the weekend. i'll talk to you guys later when i do something else exciting or get bored enough to post. mwah!
