this week actually went by quite fast, im quite glad.
monday after classes i took my parents to see the apartment i had seen and liked. they both approved, so then on tuesday after bill cancelled class, i went and put a security deposit down on it and wrote out the lease with the real estate agent. its a studio with a separate kitchen. its a different setup than this studio, bigger. and cheaper. its near 15th and pine, on carlisle street. i really like it. the lease starts on june 15th, so i'll be moving in that weekend. im looking forward to it.
wednesday i cut sociology so i could go home for dinner for seth's birthday, cynthia made fried chicken, ooh it was so good.
thursday i was supposed to have lunch with jared, but he bailed on me on wednesday night, so after the lovely pop quiz in production, i started to walk to my apartment and it was so beautiful out that i just wanted to stay outside, so i kept on walking. i walked to where my new apartment is so i could gauge how long it would take (about 30-40 minutes depending on how fast i go) then i walked to this paper store on pine street, got some paper for my media kit, then walked down to south street, got a cute pair of earrings in one of the many accessory stores that have popped up, then went to pearl to get some of the elastic that i needed for my media kit, and because it was on the same floor, i ended up getting some origami paper and a new origami book. then i went and sat at mohammeds, he made me lunch, it was very tasty. i sat outside, dad came home and sat with me, he ate his lunch. then i hopped on the bus back to my apartment, changed my clothes and went to work.
today i managed to not get out of bed until 1pm. it was gross out today, i didnt want to, but i went to art history. leaving, i was just going to get in a cab, but i couldnt flag one, so while i was walking with jasmeen my umbrella decided it wanted to flip inside out and thwack me in the head, so i have a lovely bruise now, i had to throw the umbrella away since i couldnt get it closed. got on the bus because i really didnt want to walk in the rain the whole way home. changed my clothes, and once again, went to work. it was maddd busy tonight, and on top of the line halfway down the block and the phone ringing off the hook, we had this guy who wrote a book about pizza come in to do a book signing. so crazy. mike and elisa were there all night. but they let us all have a drink, which was nice, plus they got books signed for us for free.
well, now im hungry, and im going to go out to aunt sara's tomorrow to go shopping, so im just going to chill out this evening, make some origami. i made a flamingo last night, its quite cute. ive been so busy recently with class and homework i havent really felt like posting much. neither has anyone else it seems. i know everyone is home from school, i'd really like to see you guys, i miss you.
