New friends and plans
Good Morning! It is cool this morning but it's supposed to get up to a perfect 87 degrees! I stayed up cleaning 'till 2 last night! We are not talking about if I finished getting my room cleaned!
So tonight is date night and as usual we'll be at The Museum of Contemporary Art's Mixed Taste lecture series. But after that, oh yes AFTER that, at around 8pm, who KNOWS what will happen! You know what kind of things happen with The McLandsborough and I on Friday nights? Things like inflatable deer heads.
Seasiren and boyfriend were rather surprised that we showed up at a rather small bar (The Cruise Room) carrying inflatable deer heads, but they're such great sports that they immediately turned our double date into a triple date! Bill and Susan Deer had an AMAZING night. [For notes on each picture, click on the picture to go to my Flickr page]
I got tons of pictures - everyone who commented to us or looked interested, I took a photo with the Deers. Here are some of them:
And I haven't even STARTED on the pictures of Ian teaching Susan Deer to skateboard... :)

So Denver peeps, how does this sound: Sunday 1-5pm, real honest-to-goodness Barn Dance with cake and lemonade! It's at Four Mile Park (www.fourmilepark.org), a living history park, and there'll be sewing, quilting, blacksmithing, pioneer cooking demonstrations, horse-drawn buggy rides, pioneer games and gold-panning too. And all TOTALLY FREE. I'm bringing just the two baby padawans, Syd and Cai, and I'm very VERY sure there will be giggling and eating and dancing galore - but of course I'd love someone to dance with one child while I dance with the other*. Anybody feel a need to get their pioneer on?
*OBVIOUSLY this is not a requirement for coming! ...but it's extremely likely.
