Arg! (or, Why I Want to Hit My Laptop With a Hammer)
My laptop got hit with some lame malware. When I log in I can see my wallpaper for about 10 seconds, then the computer just logs me right back out. I found a fix for it online, but I need the XP recovery disk to do it. Of course, I don't have that disk. Arg, and arg again!
I've had some spyware issues before, but never any kind of actual virus. I guess I was a virus virgin. Is there some special club I get to join now that I've been properly broken in?
If I didn't care about recovering some pics and files off my hard drive I probably wouldn't even bother with it because the laptop is a few years old and doesn't really meet my needs anymore anyway. Next time I invest in computer stuff I'm definitely going to get an extra external drive so I can back *everything* up so it won't matter if my computer decides to go toes up.
If I didn't need to save my money to pay for a wedding caterer, I would go to the Apple store today and by a Mac.
Can someone please hit the *reset* button on today?
