Resolutions for this year:

Dec 29, 2002 06:34

I remember my resolutions last year included gaining weight, and quitting smoking. Although I am still struggling in my battle against nicotine, I feel like I am winning... and I have gained 10 lbs this year as well.
Over the past couple years, I have spent a lot of time alone, and gotten a lot more comfortable with myself as a person. I can be a nice guy, an asshole, very suave, very sloppy, whatever, and it's all still me.

This past year has been a better year than the year before, but my life still has much room for improvement. Hence, my list of resolutions for the year. I don't expect myself to follow these to the letter all of a sudden, rather they are a set of resolutions I will be working on all year.

#1. Currently my number 1 flaw is my problems with sleep. Armed with a bottle of melatonin and an alarm clock, I will beat this sleep problem to a bloody pulp.
#2. I am too passive. I will make my needs known and stop putting my needs off in favor of others.
#3. I was happier when I was a young snowboarder more prone to acts of violence. I don't like this stupid raver theory of PLUR. I find that too many people expect peace when they don't exhibit any love, unity or respect, and last year, I held back from being violent in several situations where I feel it would have been entirely appropriate. Therefore, I will be a lot closer to smacking the shit out of people who are giving me grief.
#4. I realize that for all its flaws and problems, my family rules. Since I've realized this, I've spent and will be spending more time with them.
#5. Mind altering substances entering my body will be moderated more than they have been previously.
#6. Fuck what other people think.
#7. School is #1 priority.

shit, the train stops running in 10 minutes, seeya!
