an observation
I noticed this recently when I went into one of the ueber-stylish coffee shops in my new 'hood last week:
When you see one hipster on their own they appear pretty cool...sharply dressed, expressing individualism, etc. But when you walk into a whole room of hipsters they just look like kind of silly insecure fashion victims!
(I suppose that can be said for most people who appropriate a very specific style of fashion.)
