We were there almost three hours too early, and we still had to wait in line. And then when I saw him, it wasn't a big deal. And when I was standing right in front of him, there was no cockiness, no "I bet you wanna start a conversation with me because I'm awesome," he just signed my book and said thanks. Skip forward to "Guts" and Q+A, and I swear to Christ, the man was an excellent public speaker and very well-spoken. When I asked him my question I was so nervous, I had it out in essay format beforehand but as soon as he said, "You, with the green hair" I lost all train of thought. He chose me, out of all the fucking girls in the crowd, I was one of the lucky few. And when he answered, he looked right at me. He singled the person out. He made them feel like he was talking to them and only them. I was blown away. It was truly an amazing experience. It felt like it went by so fast, too fast.
"Rewind! I fucked that question up! If I wasn't so damn nervous, I swear I'm one of the most interesting kids here!"
He made the stories so real, so obvious. He put a person into the image. It made me realize that I can do whatever the fuck I wanna do in the cheesiest way possible. He fucking inspired me.
