Well, you now know of Arash my favorite pop artist from Iran. He really stimulated my fancy for world music. So, being the bookworm that everyone knows I am, I went to the library, browsed the books, and then realized I already have a stack of books at home waiting for me to read them. I was about to exit the premisis when I stumbled across the newly remodeled cd section of the Peoria Library. I decided to take a gander. I looked through mounds of broadway cds, soundtrack cds, rock cds, country cds(which inspired me to check out a certain Toby Keith cd), but finally I found the world music. There were plenty of wonderful ones to choose from: Irish dance music, Nepali Folk Songs, Japanese songs. Now I have never checked out a cd form the library so I was not sure if there was a limit on the amount of them you could check out at a time, so I just thought that two wouldbe a reasonable number. Now, I did not want to let go of my Toby Keith so I was forced to choose only one world music cd. Only after I was the next person in line did I figure out that you can check out up to thirty-five. It took alot of tough decision making but I can finally say that i now have in my possesion an African Grooves cd. I thought that was the most promising. Perhaps I will come back later for the Nepali folk songs. In fact, yes, I definitely will.
p.s. I want Favoli's pretty dang bad.
