Today is probably the best day I've had since 3/19, 4/20, and 5/21. Considering the circumstances and how tough life has been recently, things are going great. So much came together in the past 8 days and just worked out perfectly.
Work is boring, but that's nothing new, and not surprising, now that the back to school rush is over. The BTS displays are gone, the clearance table is back up, and only two cashiers are necessary at all times for the most part (once in a while, most often on Sundays, three cashiers are needed). This also means that I'm cashiering less once again since I'm not needed as much. Which gives me a better chance to check out the chicks (which are unfortunately less frequent now that school has been underway for almost a month). Oh yeah, and my paychecks are still pretty nice, despite the fact that I had to cut my hours due to school. Probably because of the raise I got this summer. I was happy about that. =)
School is going great; I'm keeping way ahead on homework: all written work that is due up until next Monday I already have done; the only thing I haven't done that's due by then is a reading from a book. Also, for my SEYS201 class (secondary education and youth services), I need 20 hours of field experience; that is, I need to observe teachers teach for 20 periods. Today I finally got a phone call from my high school and we set up a schedule for me to come in and observe. I'll be going in every Friday for 5 weeks starting October 7th, and will be observing from periods 1-4 each week (each period counts for an hour). I've been worried about that, so it's a huge relief to know that's out of the way.
Next: I've been trying to get a gift for someone for over two weeks now. There have been a lot of problems for some reason, but I finally got them worked out today with a phone call from the company I was dealing with (and I got a 25% discount because it took so long to resolve the problem). So that's good. I plan to present the gift to the person soon. :)
Lastly, and probably the biggest reason why things in my life are grand at the moment: things are good again with 'the girls' (heh). I know that my entries from early- to mid-August probably confused the HELL out of everyone, but it was a rough time, probably the worst time for me of the entire year, and it's still not easy to think back on it (I hate August now, because that's two Augusts in a row that absolutely sucked). But the point is, everything is good again. I'm back to normal with all of my closest friends on the DT, even closer with some than ever before. IMs are happening at the rate they used to, texts are back in business, VMs are going good, and phone calls are relatively frequent. If you've noticed the percentage bar in my profile, you've noticed that it went from 50% to 90% in a week. That's because most of what happened to make things better happened in the last week. I'm on a high right now; which almost sucks, because the only place I can go is down, but I needed this -- it's been a long time since I feel like I've been truly happy.

So, there's this random guy I saw on the bus last week. I remember seeing him once on the bus last semester (which gives you a sense of just how weird this guy was). He's a tall black guy with some short curly hair (I say that because he seems to lack a decent amount of hair -- not in terms of going bald, but just overall); he wears freakin' thick glasses; he wears some sort of jacket or vest or something of that nature as long as it has pockets; and he always seems to carry around a small bag of some sort (like a brown paper lunch bag, for example). I'm never sure if there's anything in it because stuff tends to go in it instead of out of it. He has a tendency of looking inside the bag somewhat frequently, but what he does the most is look around at the people around. I swear he's on drugs or something. He's always turning this way, that way, looking at me, looking at that guy, looking at that girl. One time I saw him pick up garbage off the floor of the bus -- it was a crumpled napkin or something -- he opened it up to see if anything was inside, and crumpled it back up and put it inside of his bag (this all took about 30 seconds somehow).
And yes, I've only seen this guy twice, on my way home from school, once last semester, and once last week. I suppose these are the types of freaks you see all the time on the subway when you commute to work in the city. *shrug*
