What have I done for you lately? Recently I've just gotten drunk and been belligerent, but that's something at least. I'm coming home to Alabama in one week so you might be without me for three weeks while we're sorting our Visas out. So, now is your last chance for a while to listen to some serked out tracks. Well, these tracks actually have nothing to do with me. Except that I've been trying to find local bands to check out recently and myspace has been my main window into U.K. artists.

So tonight I'm gonna aggregate some of the bands I've uncovered in my relentless myspace sifting. Hope you enjoy:

DEAD KIDS
I bet these guys are really good live. I bet they're off the chain. They're playing just down the street from me next week at a local pub. I'll be gone though. They remind me a little of The Unicorns, probably because of their noisy irreverence, but there's definitely something more there than just 'happy hardcore.' When I figure out what it is I'll let you know.

GoodBooks
GoodBooks remind me a little of Bloc Party. A poppy Bloc Party. I think this is a real find and I'm definitely going to check them out when they come through London next. This one is Alysia's favourite and as such requires special attention by those of you who like happy good things.

679 Recordings - Remix
I stumbled across 679 Recordings remix website after checking out The Mystery Jets, and I found a remix of their Diamonds in the Dark track that blew me away. They've got another download available (Futureheads!) and they update frequently so make sure you check them out.

Thanks Y'all!
