My Weekend
This was such a great weekend let me tell you. The thing is, even though it was a 3 day weekend it felt so much longer because we only really went to 2nd period on Friday. Friday was Ventura County Championships. There was a rally that day (missed it again, yesh!). We left school promptly at 11, which was the goal. However, right around Camarillo, the bus died. The bus driver had to shut everything off because the "engine died" and then she pulled to the side of the road and waited to hear what we would do. Roadside police came into the bus, and one of the guys was Phillip Reid's dad (philly? matty?) so that was pretty cool. Anyway, about 1/2 an hour later we got on a new bus after reshuffling out all the kids that had to race early. We ended up getting there right around 1, meaning it took us 2 hours to get there when it should take a good hour. We set up, milled around, watched the races, and hung out for the 2 hours before I warmed up. Major props to the sophomore boys for missing their race and then coming back and still doing really well.
My race went pretty well. I raced varsity and ended up running 20:52 which ties my P.R. I was 52d place. I raced with Ashley and Deirdre, and we packed really well. Coach Smith wasn't too happy about how the girls performed. I'm not gonna get into it here but i disagreed with about 97% of what he said. Anyway, we left and Ashley, Michelle and I picked up Baja before we went to the game.
We got there at the end of halftime and watched the fireworks. We won so that was exciting. I hung out with Ashley and she drove me home after b/c I didn't have a car b/c my car got hit....long story.
Saturday was so much fun!
At 9:45 i had practice at Old Ag. and I did 70 minutes with Mel and Ashley for the most part. Everyone ran really well and we just relaxed and took it easy.
I raced home to take a shower so I could get my hair done at 12:15. Brian Wolverton called, guess i'm tutoring him in spanish. woo-hoo. Anyway, I got my hair done at Cleo Annexx, and I loved the girl that did my hair and i really like the way it turned out. I got ready, got my nails done, did my makeup, and went to lauren's at 6:15 for pics. At 7 we went to the dance. It was SO fun going stag. I don't even know why. Just like seeing everyone all dressed up...I loved Kelsey and Matt...they're my favorite. and Doug (D).....wow. Oh and Sam and Aaron and Whitney and David. Anyway...we danced and ate and at 11 Lisa and Ashley came back to my house and we watched SNL for half an hour and they left. Then I went to bed...it was so fun.....It makes me sad to think of all the people that ruin it tho by doing bad stuff after.....wow.
Sunday was fun too, but calmer. I hung out with Lauren, Sophia, Stephen, Alex F., and Rebecca at night, we went trick or treating. I was a cowgirl! After we came back and watched The Day After Tomorrow. I went to bed sorta early and this morning I did h-work and junk like that.....so here i am now!
