“Summer was our best season: it was sleeping on the back screened porch in cots, or trying to sleep in the treehouse; summer was everything good to eat; it was a thousand sand colors in a parched landscape; but most of all, summer was Dill.”
The best book ever… if you haven’t already read To Kill A Mockingbird, you are missing out.
So I decided to put together my own little list…
Summer is a morning run, when you still get chills up and down your arms and the air smells of dew and summer grass; it’s the warm nights, walking hand in hand under the street lights and gazing at the stars while crickets chirp, hidden in the night; it’s a cool swimming pool on a hot day; a mountain abundant with life, despite the summer rays; summer is everything and nothing at once. Summer is love.
