Marry me, marry me, marry me...

Last night I came home from work and my parents had one of those serious, "We need to talk," looks on their faces. And that's exactly the words they used, too. So I went into the living room, expecting to be busted for something, when they surprised me with, "Laura... grounding doesn't work for you. We don't like grounding you, and we know you don't like being grounded. Plus, you do whatever you want anyway so what we say or do has no effect on you whatsoever." Me, "Yeah..." Dad, "So we decided that we're not going to ground you anymore. You have no curfew. You can use the car for whatever you want. You can do whatever you want." And that's that. Wow.. how strange is that? It came out of nowhere, but I finally got what I wanted. How come it still doesn't feel right??

Today is my dad's birthday. I was supposed to work until 8 but I was sent home early (oops). My parents are out to dinner right now and I'm restless. I don't know what to do with myself. I'm hanging out with Curtis, Ben and Ab at 8, but what do I do till then?

Oh, funny story. I was supposed to work today at 1130, but my mom never woke me up. So at 1127 I rolled over and looked at the clock.. holy shit. I threw my work clothes on and was running out the door when I realized I didn't have my car keys. I looked for like 20 minutes and decided to call work and tell them I'd be late. I looked some more, and guess where I finally found them?? In my fucking medicine cabinet. I called my mom and asked her if she had put them there, and she said, "Well I thought you'd see them there." Who the hell would look for their keys in their MEDICINE CABINET? Apparently my mother.

I have nothing to write, so I'm going to go do something productive...

Oh did I mention that Curtis and I got married at work yesterday? Our rings are those green twisty ties from the produce section.
