This entry was written last night after I got home from Comic-Con. I would have posted earlier, but I had to sleep because I was pretty much a walking zombie. Then, I had 8 hours of work. And then, I went to see The Phantom of The Opera on stage. Hahah. Some of it may not make any sense.
I haven't had sleep for almost 36 hours, but I just got home from the Twilight panel at Comic-Con. After weeks of planning, it's over! First of all, I didn't get to meet the cast like I would have LOVED too. The only member of the panel that was actually signing autographs at the convention (through a lottery) was Stephenie Meyer. I just met her in May, so I didn't feel the need to go through the hassle of trying to meet her again. Of course I'm a bit heartbroken, but I hadn't really expected to meet the cast anyway.
After a bit of a delay, Ashley and I took the coaster to Downtown at around 6pm last night. A friend of mine had called me around 3pm telling me that a line was already forming for Hall H, which was were the Twilight panel was going to be held. We thought that was insane, so we started scrambling to get to the Convention Center. We ended up arriving around 7:30pm and much to our surprise there was only about 15 people ahead of us in line, but those people were saving spots for their friends and so on. We ended up camping out for about 14 hours last night. There was actually drama with some people trying to cut in line, which ended in just about everyone and myself kicking the rats out. Lots of hurtful things were said. It was a moment that I wish I had gotten on tape! Hahah! To make a long, boring story short though, we got into Hall H at around 9:30 or so, but waited until 11:30 for the first panel to start. We were only FOUR rows away from the stage.
All I have to say about the Twilight panel is, even if I didn't have the chance to meet the cast, the fourteen hours of waiting in line was absolutely WORTH being in the fourth row from them. I was expecting Robert Pattinson to show up looking like he hadn't shaved in days, but the moment he came out, I was floored. He is more gorgeous in person than I thought was possible. Hahah. You could tell that the hoard of screaming girls caught each of them off-guard, especially Robert. He kept hiding behind his hands and the microphone for the first 10 minutes or so. It was hilarious. The entire cast seems so down-to-earth and normal though. Even after having been sleep deprived of 36 hours, they actually made me wonder why people were even obsessed with them. They're all just normal people who just happen to be one of the luckiest people ever. My favorite part of the entire panel though was when a fan screamed 'I LOVE YOU, ROB' and he answered back 'Good.' He's so awesome.
I was using my friends camera during the panels, so I wasn't exactly sure how to make the photos turn out the way I wanted them too.
This is my friend Angela, who fell asleep right before we were about to enter Hall H. I took a photo of the sign she created during the night. Hahah.
The Day The Earth Stood Still panel.
Keanu Reeves. He's sort of a bad actor, but it was still cool to see him in person though. My mom likes him.
Jennifer Connolly. She had this constant 'what the hell am I doing here?' look on her face throughout the panel. Case in point: my photo.
Mark Whalberg for May Payne. My friend Ashley is super in love with him. I couldn't believe how funny he was. And hot!
Mila Kunis aka JACKIE from That 70s Show. Hahah.
After Mark made his New Kids On The Block comment.
Hugh Jackman came out as the best surprise ever. The moment he walked onto that stage, my heart literally stopped beating. I honestly love that man. He ran into the crowd to greet the creator of Wolverine and I literally wanted to jump him.
Hahah.
He was so hot when he was watching his own clips of Wolverine. Hahah.
Push panel. Dakota Fanning was supposed to be a part of this, but she was stuck in traffic. She came out at the end of the Twilight panel though.
Camilla Belle! I think she's gorgeous.
After more than 18 hours of waiting, the Twilight panel! I took this photo without zoom to show how close I was.
He kept hiding his face like this during the first portion of the panel. It was adorable.
NOTE: In like half of my photos of him, Robert is taking a drink of water. It would be annoying if he didn't look so hot doing it. Just look:
Excuse the blurriness, but he even got Stephenie Meyer to pour him another glass.
Oh yeah, Kristen Stewart aka Bella Swan was there too. I loved how she apologized for being 'nervous' when she was asked her first question. She actually seemed sweet.
My photos of her suck because I was obviously focused on someone else.
Cam is probably almost as hot as Robert is. I love his haircut.
Right after someone pointed out that he wouldn't be returning for the next film. Hahah. Aw.
I wanted a photo so badly of the both of them doing their infamous sex hair thing in the same photo, but no such luck. Hahah.
The perfect Victoria. I love how she speaks. Robert really should be jealous!
Poor Taylor. He looked so left out through most of the panel.
Aren't they cute?
ARGH! That damn microphone.
I took SO MANY more photos, but I have no more energy. I am beat. Possibly more photos this weekend :D I guess it would be safe for me to say that if you'd like to use any of the photos for some strange reason, please credit? Hahah. Thank you.
I ended up grabbing 6 packs of the Twilight trading cards that they were passing out at the Summit Booth. I plan on giving one to my friend who lent me her camera. Hahah.
Also, I plan on commenting on your entries tomorrow morning or throughout Sunday since I am off all day. :D
